On a hot summer day when I was eight years old, my best friend took me into the shed that sat in the backyard of his house and held out his hand.
Sitting on his small, sweaty palm were two “cigs” as he called them. He’d swiped them from his dad and wanted me to try one.
That was the very first time I smoked. And even though I didn’t know to inhale the smoke that day, it wasn’t long before I wanted to do it again.
I can still remember his parents’ dresser in their bedroom, and the many times after that day that I snuck in with my friend to swipe more cigs from the top of it.
I lived in a giant maze of midwestern neighborhoods back in those days, and it seemed like everyone’s parents smoked. There were plenty of cigs to go around.
All of us in the neighborhood thought we were so cool, sucking in the hot smoke and blowing it out through our noses and mouths, just like all of our favorite action movie heroes and heroines.
Back in the younger days we would just smoke whenever we could nab some cigs, but by the time I was in my early teens I was hooked.
It wasn’t long before I was smoking anywhere from 5 - 10 a day, and by the time I was in my early twenties I was smoking anywhere from a pack-and-a-half to two packs a day.
For 30 years I was a slave to my cigarette addiction.
I knew I was going to die...
Since you’re on my website right now, I’m sure I don’t have to explain the struggle that breaking your smoking addiction can be.
Everyone, yourself included, already knows that it is one of the hardest things to do.
One day just a few years ago from the time I’m writing this, I came home, sat down on the couch in my living room, and felt true desperation for the first time. And it was all because of my smoking habit.
I remember sitting there, barely able to breathe, and thinking: This has got to change. I’m going to die if I don’t quit smoking.
I had to come up with a plan...
Just like you probably have, by that time I had already tried to quit many times before. I had tried all of the nicotine replacement products: gums, patches, lozenges, sprays, and on and on and on and had nothing but failure.
I had read all the articles online, bought all of the top quit smoking books on Amazon, and bought into all of the top quit smoking programs I had found over the years. And again, I had experienced nothing but failure.
That’s when I started buying all of the textbooks about addiction I could find. These books were written by some of the top addiction researchers and specialists in the world, and they are mostly used in college courses of study.
I took all of the information I had gathered after nearly six months of reading and researching and turned it into a plan.
My own stop smoking plan...
I wrote down everything that I did down to the very last detail so that I wouldn’t mess up my chance of finally quitting smoking for good, once-and-for-all.
I knew that this was my last chance, because I had tried everything else and nothing had worked.
I truly, seriously felt like I would die if I didn’t break my smoking addiction this time.
My plan is a seven-day plan, and once I had everything in place I went as hard as I could, going through each step and making sure I stayed on the course.
It’s hard to describe...
It really is hard for me to put into words the amount of relief I had after finally, FINALLY beating my addiction to cigarettes after so many years.
My entire life changed after those seven days, and so did the lives of my wife and children.
Gone were the violent coughing fits throughout the day, the frequent breaks during dinners, movies, and all of our other activities when I went for a smoke break, all of the wasted time.
Yes, the wasted time... So many hours spent sitting on my porch smoking cigarettes when I could have been spending that time with my children and doing other things I enjoy.
Quit in 7 Days
Once I realized I finally had success, my first thought was: I have to record all of this, I have to write all of this down so other people can also use these methods.
That’s how I eventually ended up with a complete system that I decided to call Quit in 7 Days.
There’s a lot of information to go over, and I put every single detail in Quit in 7 Days. Using the methods in Quit in 7 Days, you can stop smoking just like I did.
I also can’t describe the great amount of happiness that’s been brought to me knowing that so many others have ALSO changed their lives by using Quit in 7 Days to destroy their deadly cigarette addiction.
Every single day I receive emails like this one:
